Health is the priceless treasure and more expensive than money

Push-Ups Will Save You Time and Money

| Tuesday, June 9, 2009
One of the keys to being successful in any fitness plan, is to remove as many obstacles as possible. Pushups are a great way to increase your level of success in your workout plan because you can do them at your convenience and you do not have to go to a gym.

You can do pushups in the morning before you go to work, on your lunch break, or when you get home from work. There are absolutely no restrictions because you do not have to drive, or bus, to a gym, or wear workout attire. Having used pushups as the core of my workout for years, this has personally been the greatest benefit. While the gym is a great place to go, it requires too much time and consistent effort to make a long-term commitment or achieve long-term success. In order to work out at a gym, the list of obstacles is quite long. You must: pack gym clothes, transport yourself to the gym, scan your keycard, wait in line at a machine, workout, wipe down the equipment, drive home, and shower. If the gym is busy, or if you get stuck in traffic then you may spend half (or more) of your workout time waiting to workout. Additionally, gyms are expensive and pushups are free.

In conclusion, if you are looking for an exercise that fits into your busy schedule, and will save you time and money, I recommend that you try pushups. If you are new to pushups, then I recommend squeezing in a set of pushups in the morning when you wake up, and doing another set when you get home from work, or before you go to bed. If you are used to going to a gym, you will quickly notice how much more convenient pushups are than going to the gym. It is empowering to have absolute control over your workout.
